Since the establishment of the Winchcombe Archive Collection in Autumn 2014 (a registered charitable Trust from late 2019) the Long Room Gallery has hosted and organised talks by nationally known specialist speakers selected by dint of their expertise in creative mediums of core interest to our organisation. These ranged from Barley Roscoe the founder curator of the Craft Study Centre in Bath on the block printed textiles of Barron & Larcher; Mary Greensted formerly lead curator at Cheltenham Museum on the Arts & Crafts movement; John Randle the founder of the letterpress based Whittington Press on craft printing and Miriam Macgregor on wood engraving; Oliver Watson former pottery & glass curator at the V&A London on the early Studio Pottery movement; Alan Powers a leading writer and academic on 20th C design; Joe Finch a leading Studio potter on his father Ray Finch; and Alun Graves (V&A) on post-war Studio Pottery.
